Bleh

One of the few things I dislike about blogging is the self-induced pressure to constantly develop new content for my site. Posts have recently slowed to a trickle around Roman Candles and it's stressing me out.

The reason for my current bout of reticence is somewhat outside the usual purview of this blog. As I'm sure most of my 6.2 readers have heard by now, Mr. Roman Candles and I are off to Bangladesh in a few short weeks to spend the next two years as Peace Corps volunteers. As a result, my current attention is more focused on strategies for avoiding waterborne illness and sari-folding techniques than the latest moronic quip from our president.

At the same time, I've considered closing shop and concluded that it's premature. I've wrapped up most of my projects at work so I know that I'm about to be confronted with copious quantities of first-class boredom for the next couple of weeks. I have no doubt that my 8-hour bouts of news reading will ultimately result in some new posts.

So, dear readers, I apologize for the recent slowdown in activity. To the two of you who still include me in your RSS subscriptions, I thank you for your loyalty. I promise to pull my weight from here forward through the end of this month. At that time, you'll want to redirect your subscriptions to tune into an exciting new blog recording our adventures in beautiful, scenic Bangladesh...

The real question is "will you and [snicker] Mr. Sarah be continuing your carefully selected roman candles in the 'desh?
