Bush Picks Wolfowitz for New World Bank President
European sources said Wolfowitz's name was circulated informally among board directors several weeks ago and was rejected. "Mr. Wolfowitz's nomination today tells us the U.S. couldn't care less what the rest of the world thinks," one source said.
It must suck to work at the Bush administration if you're actually good at your job - all the promotions go to folks with long records of failure. Of course, I can see how Dick Cheney would tend to be a second-chance kinda guy...
