I'm going to forgo the lousy-tourists-from-L.A.-suck-and-make-traffic-terrible and why-do-tickets-cost-so-damn-much hysterics this year and just admit that I always enjoy the SXSW chaos, despite all of its aggravations for locals. I'm only doing FREE, no-wristband-required shows this year due to budgetary constraints so please pass along your suggestions...a few things I'm looking at checking out thus far:
The Black Angels and The John Sparrow are both playing several free shows including a couple together (Spiderhouse, 3pm on 03/16; Exodus, 11:45 on 03/17) - I'll definitely check out at least one.
