Among the groups working to change the proposed bill include EFF-Austin, Common Cause, and the South Central Texas Chapter of the Internet Society. A handy fact sheet about the bill is available here.
Consider responding to the SaveMuniWireless action alert if you state rep is one of the following people: Phil King, Bob Hunter, Sylvester Turner, Todd Baxter, Robby Cook, Joe Crabb, or Will Hartnett. Folks with some expertise/experience in this area may also want to consider testifying before the committee this Tuesday afternoon.
