Another important reason to vote in the local elections this Saturday if you haven't done so already:
Marc Levin - local far-right activist and Karl Rove wannabe - is running for the ACC Board of Trustees. Check out The Austin Review - his conservative "news" rag - to get an idea of his views. He co-authored a feature article in this month's edition that discusses "our nation's immigration problem"...
Levin was also a prominent apologist for Lino Graglia, the U.T. Law Professor who gained national attention when he argued that "Blacks and Mexican-Americans are not academically competitive with whites in selective institutions."
Marc Levin has a good chance of winning if people don't pay attention to the ACC ballot...please pass this information along so we can ensure his defeat.
