The Amida Simputer, a handheld mini computer hailed as a way to bridge the digital divide for the developing world, is now available for (reportedly) as little as $250. The Linux-based super PDA includes a Wireless, GPRS, or land line connection, MP3 player, and email in your own handwriting - not to mention "a uniquely Indian way of planning your family's budget." I think I might need one.
