Hope your holiday is happy! I've opened all my presents, made a stack for returns, and settled down in front of the computer until Christmas dinner is ready. After that, it's back to Donna Tartt and, if I'm lucky, an evening in Houston.
I'm starting to feel a bit less annoyed to be stuck here all week. At least I've got broadband and books to keep me busy. By the end of the week, I should be caught up on world news, through with three books, and have remodeled my website into something a bit more snazzy.
Should you find yourself exhausted by all of the exuberance of the holiday, might I suggest a charming little article in The Nation to bring things back into perspective?
