Red Dirt Girl
This morning when I woke up for work, I was so tired, bleary-eyed and hungover from celebrating Hoss’ birthday last night that I didn’t know what to do with myself. My hair was stinky, but sleep was way more important. My solution? I showered, got dressed, sprayed my hair down with Febreeze and climbed back into bed for fifteen more minutes of delicious sleep.
Yes, I Febreezed my hair. And I’m not ashamed. Just a little giggly about it.
In more important news, I’ve still not been fired, so I guess the job is going ok, excepting the fact that it makes me tired and boring. But when I close my eyes, all I see is flowers. It’s alright.

what an excellent tip! also useful is rubbing a sheet of fabric softener on smoky clothes, when you don’t feel like washing it. once i also tried orange peels, but the smell didn’t last. when i was young i had a job as a strawberry-picker. it made me pink and made me smell sweet, but i remember unceasing waking dreams of jumping strawberries, chain of flying strawberries, etc.
best of luck in the new job.

you never told me you were a strawberry-picker.

fabric softener is a very good idea! when i was younger, i had a friend who lived in her parents’ basement and smoked bong hits all day, exhaling through a toilet paper tube that was stuffed with fabric softener on one end. it was the most april fresh room i’ve ever been in.
i would think the smell of orange peel would last because of the oil… another low grooming point for me was when i was in my first year of college and had run out of deodorant one morning. i grabbed some of my hippie roommate’s incense and rolled it around in my pits. it didn’t work.
